Could be from your plugs not being gapped down enough, to bad plugs, to a bad coil pack, to ignition wires worn through and grounding out. Can also be from an injector or maf. Good luck finding that one out. If you did any recent work, check that area. I doubt its the ECU causing the hesitation/misfire. Could also be bad fuel. I would not boost at all until the new ECU arrives, and you sort out the hesitation. It would be favorable to not drive it until you sort out the hesitation. Your taking a chance at 12psi and stock fuel/timing maps. As i also mentioned before, the upgraded ECU addresses timing as well, so even if you werent running lean, you would still have the timing to deal with. Your pretty lucky you havent damaged your motor.
